$200,000 Second-Tier Powerball Ticket Sold in Oxon Hill
Thursday, May 19th, 2011Jackpot Climbs to $120 Million for Saturday
Although there was no jackpot winner for last night’s Powerball drawing, one lucky Maryland Lottery player will take home a $200,000 second-tier prize. The winning ticket was purchased at Esquire Liquors, located at 6108 Oxon Hill Rd. in Oxon Hill. The winner matched all five white balls, only missing the Power Ball, to yield the $200,000 prize. Winning numbers from the drawing were 7, 12, 13, 42, 49 and Power Ball 16.
The winner has 182 days to claim the prize. Esquire Liquors will receive a $1,000 commission for selling the second-tier ticket. Since no one won the jackpot, Saturday night’s drawing will be worth $120 million, with a cash option of $62.6 million.
The Powerball drawing is held in Orlando, Florida and can be seen locally on Wednesday and Saturday evenings at 11:22 pm on WBAL-TV, Channel 11. The multi-state game is played in 44 jurisdictions.
