$250K Mega Millions Second-Tier Ticket Sold in Frostburg
Tuesday, July 5th, 2011One lucky Western Maryland Lottery player woke up Saturday morning a little bit richer.
A winning $250,000 second-tier Mega Millions ticket, from Friday night’s drawing, was sold at RG’s Food Shop #04, located at 14730 New George’s Creek Rd. in Frostburg. To win the second-tier prize, the player matched every number except the Mega Ball, missing the $105 million jackpot by just one number. A winning jackpot ticket was sold in Virginia, making tonight’s drawing worth $12 million. Friday night’s winning numbers were 12, 17, 30, 35, 47 and Mega Ball 26.
This is the 12th second-tier Mega Millions winner in Maryland this year. Along with the Frostburg winner, a ticket sold at Riverdale BP in Riverdale on March 26th also remains unclaimed. All prizes must be claimed within 182 days of the drawing date.
The multi-state Mega Millions game is played in 42 jurisdictions – including Maryland, Virginia, Delaware and the District of Columbia. Mega Millions drawings can be seen on Tuesday and Friday evenings at 11:22 pm on WBAL-TV, channel 11.
