This is great. But I want to know how come when you go to some of the places that sell scratch offs that they hve the new ones and they are under the counter and they don’t have room. I went to want to buy the silver 20.00 ticket. They stated they had them but could not put them out until the next week. They were suppose to take effect last week. Thanks a lot.

Are the taxes paid state and federal?

  • Ishmael Akobundu

I am interested in playing Bonus Match 5 doubler. Contact me at the above email address. Thanks, Ishmael.

If I play a $6 card with nine different plays on it, does that mean any play on that card that wins will win double too?

  • mdlottery

mable: It is the retailers discretion on what tickets they put out. You can certainly ask if they have a certain type of ticket and request it.

  • mdlottery

Jean: Yes, if you receive a DOUBLER ticket, it applies to all games.

  • charles riley

you need to get rid of the stupid doubler i dont win when you have that i know why you bring it so it makes people lose more and more money for u all

  • mdlottery

Gary: Yes, taxes are paid for both.

  • Arnold D.

I like to play my same 5 numbers twice on the same card, would that leave me ineligible for the doubler?

  • mdlottery

    Arnold: Yes, you are.

  • Raymond

Are taxes always paid for us on the $50k top prize or only during this promotion? Thx.

  • http://verizonyahoo brenda

that doubler match 5 is not a good game
you stand a better chance on 2 for 3
match five at least you have 2more chances

  • Matthew

I have 2 questions. 1.) What are the odds on average of getting a doubler? 2.) Are those odds based off per draw or per ticket?

  • mdlottery

Raymond: Taxes are only paid during the promotional period.

Last time the Maryland lottery offer this there was two winners I spent over a thousand dollars and I am serious I did not even win 30 dollars…so when you get the doubler don’t get excited…its all a scam to make you buy more tickets. If you look at the statictics who win $50,000 its not a lot! Maybe four a year.

  • http://yahoo Myshel

Question Maryland Lottery: How many prizes will you be offering during this event?

  • Thomas Donovan

Another surprise. So if I play for example 1,2,3,4,5 three times for $2.00 I won’t have a chance to recieve a doubler, did I understand that right?. And secondly the $150,000 possible win won’t have any of the taxes paid? or just $100,000 of it? ….I got 4 doublers out of 10 so far. What’s the rate of issuance, I’m at 40% chance of recieving a doubler. Thank you.

GEEEEE….. Isn’t that why it is called gambling???

The doubler option has NOTHING do with you personally or any other person that chooses to take a chance.

I bet you’d be singing a different tune if you won!!! IF YOU CANNOT AFFORD TO PLAY THEN STOP!

  • http://mdlottery.com rachel

Frankly, I LOVE the double!!! i have not won a jackpot but it certainly make the game a litle more exciting!!! And to those that HAVE WON, GOOD FOR YOU!!!

My day is coming soon!!! :-)

  • thomas

what if i play all of the same numbers 9 times and i get a doubler and i hit all 5 numbers will you pay me all of the money or do you have a limit

  • mdlottery

thomas: If you play multiple games on one ticket and receive a doubler, it applies to each game on the ticket. The maximum a player can win is $100,000.

  • mdlottery

Matthew: Doublers are issued every 4th ticket across our entire network of retailers.

  • mdlottery

Myshel: The number of prizes will depend on the drawing results and is to be determined.

  • mdlottery

Thomas: Each individual play must be $1 or more to be eligible for a Doubler. The max the promotion will pay out on any given play will be $100,000. This will occur if someone wins the grand prize AND has a doubler ticket. Lastly, we issue a doubler every 4th ticket across our retailer network.

Okay I’ve went to 10 different lottery vendors and have receieved 22 doubles…no winners not even 15.00 dollars.

  • Kenhadfield

Is that taxes are paid on all prizes of $50,000 & $100,000 regardless of a doubler or not?

  • Dawn

ok the taxes are paid during the promotional period only, i understand that. but do you only get the taxes paid if the ticket says doubler or do you get the taxes paid on all top prizes even if the ticket doesn’t say doubler?

  • Anonymous

Dawn: Taxes paid only applies to the two top prizes; $50,000 and $100,000. Taxes paid does apply to top prizes without a doubler as well.

Can someone tell me why our Cash5 don’t roll-over like some of the other states?

  • Anonymous

Marty: Our state jackpot game is Multi-Match. It rolls-over just like other state jackpot games like Cash5.

  • Marty

Example: MI has Fantasy5 and IL has Lotto (5) along with other games; that the amount roll-over.  I think more people would play Cash5 if they had a chance of winning more money. You may want to take a look other states and make a change to this game (Cash5).

  • Sean

How do you have a promotion that runs an entire month with only two winners once again I’ve played a bunch of tickets and won 2.00 that is it I’ve played everyday ten dollars plus since August 1, 2011 and won $2.00.

  • Sean
