The Maryland Lottery Headquarters (main office) is located in Southwest Baltimore City, at the new Montgomery Park complex, formerly Montgomery Wards. Situated at the corner of Monroe Street and Washington Boulevard, it can easily be accessed from the Beltway (I-695) by taking I-95 North and exiting at the Washington Blvd. ramp. Turn left at the light and you'll see the building straight ahead.

Take Washington Blvd. from Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. (MLK Blvd.) straight, approximately two miles.

Prizes over $600: Must be redeemed at a Maryland Lottery Claim Center or any Retailer + location. (Retailer + locations can redeem winning tickets up to $5,000)

Players who win larger prize amounts are encouraged to claim their winnings at Maryland Lottery Headquarters in Baltimore, at Montgomery Park.

Subscription prizes: Will be automatically paid to winners by mail.

Jackpot prizes: Payments will be made as an annuity over 26 years for the MegaMillions and over 25 years for Lotto or Multi-Match, if the cash prize available, per share, equals or exceeds $15,000 per year after being annuitized. The winner will receive an initial payment and 24 additional equal payments. If the prize is less than $15,000 per year annuitized, one cash payment may be made.

For prize payments over $5,000 taxes will be withheld as follows:
25% Federal Tax
8.5% State tax (Maryland residents)
6.75 % State Tax (non-Maryland residents)

Whenever cashing a ticket for $600 or more you must present proof of your social security number.  Some acceptable forms of identification are:

• An original signed card from the Social Security Administration;

• A health insurance card containing your name and social security number;

• A drivers license containing your name and social security number;

• A Medicare Card;

• A Military ID;

• A W-2 form or a pay stub issued by the claimant’s employer; or,

• A 1099 form issued by a bank or other financial institution.
