Million Dollar Weekend
Tuesday, May 29th, 20122nd – Tier Powerball Win in Prince George’s County
Powerball players check your tickets. Lottery officials reported this morning that a 2nd-tier winning Powerball ticket was sold in Ft. Washington. While just last year having five of the six winning Powerball numbers would have earned that player a $200,000 prize, a second-tier win with the current version of the popular multi-state game makes him or her a millionaire.
Five players across the nation nabbed Powerball’s 2nd-tier prize this past Saturday night. Maryland’s lucky ticket was purchased from the 7-11 convenience store, located at 9201 Oxon Hill Road. No one hit the jackpot Saturday, making the jackpot for tomorrow’s drawing $146 million.

The newest member of Maryland’s lottery millionaire club will be the first to enter that group via Powerball’s new 2nd-tier prize. The bigger and better Powerball debuted earlier this year, promising bigger jackpots and more ways to win $1 million.
