Powerball Jackpot Skyrockets to $320 Million for Wednesday’s DrawingTuesday, August 14th, 2012
The Powerball jackpot continues to grow, exceeding the $300 million mark and sparking dreams of “what would you do with that kind of money?” Saturday’s Powerball drawing produced no top-tier winner, bringing Wednesday night’s jackpot to $320 million. The cash option for the drawing is $213.3 million.
The jackpot has been rolling since June 27, 2012. The last Powerball win occurred on June 23, 2012 when a Connecticut couple took home a $60 million prize. In 2012, Maryland has had two second-tier $1 million winners. Since arriving in Maryland in January 2010, the state has had two Powerball jackpot winners.
Powerball drawings can be seen on Wednesday and Saturday evenings at 11:22 p.m. on WBAL-TV, Channel 11. The drawings are later rebroadcast on Maryland Public Television. Visit mdlottery.com for drawing times. The multi-state game is sold in 44 states and jurisdictions.
