Mega Millions
$250,000 Second-Tier Winning Ticket Sold in Elkton
Two Third-Tier $10,000 Tickets also sold in Maryland
(Baltimore) – The tally of Mega Millions second and
third-tier prize winners in Maryland keeps on growing. Although
Friday’s winning $196 million jackpot ticket was sold in Amelia,
Ohio, one lucky Marylander holds a $250,000 second-tier ticket. Two
other Maryland winners hold third-tier $10,000 tickets.
Maryland has had a total of 14 second-tier Mega Millions
winners and 83 third-tier winners since January. The winning numbers
for the May 16th drawing were 06, 11, 39, 46, 47 and Mega
Ball 26. The $250,000 ticket was sold at Shore Stop #264, located
at 407 N. Bridge Street in Elkton. The winner has 182 days to claim
their prizes.
Maryland’s most recent Mega Millions jackpot winners include
Bunky Bartlett from Dundalk, who split a $330 million jackpot with
three others on August 31st, and a 78-year-old Essex
woman and her daughter winning $27 million on September 5th.
The multi-state Mega Millions game is played in 12 states,
including Maryland, Georgia, Illinois, Massachusetts, Michigan, New
Jersey, New York, Ohio, Virginia, Washington, Texas and California.
Mega Millions drawings can be seen locally on Tuesday and
Friday evenings at 11:22 p.m. on WBAL-TV, Channel 11 and at 11:30
p.m. on Maryland Public Television.
