Run the Table Provides Big Shock for New York Friends
$50,000 Top-Prize winner
 

(Baltimore) –Mohammed Siddik and his coworker Mohammed Ambia received quite the shock when they went to cash in their Run the Table scratch-off ticket which they had purchased on behalf of themselves and eight other friends.  They thought they won $500, but when they scanned their ticket at the Box N’ Save in Glen Burnie, they found out they actually won $50,000 to share. 

Employees at the Marriott Marquee in Manhattan, Mr. Siddik and Mr. Ambia bought the scratch-off back in December while in Maryland visiting family.  They held on to the ticket until they could make it back again to cash it.  “We were so shocked when they said you won $50,000,” said Siddik, a married father-of-two.  The two friends have been regular Lottery players for years, and this is their first big win.  Mr. Ambia, a 17-year-veteran of the Marriott Marquee, said “I had won $500 before, but that is nothing like winning $50,000.”

Originally from Bangladesh, the two men have some big plans for their winnings.  “My wife is from London, and she wants to go back and see some family there,” Mr. Siddik said.  “I am going to Las Vegas, Baby!” said Mr. Ambia.

The ticket was purchased at Box N’ Save located at 7931 Baltimore-Annapolis Blvd in Glen Burnie.
