Frequent Silver Spring Lottery Player Wins Big
$50,000 Queen of Hearts Top Prize

(Baltimore) – While making her rounds to various stores yesterday, a Silver Spring woman popped into one of her regular stops, Sunoco, and bought a number of Queen of Hearts scratch-offs. Instead of scratching the tickets she just had the clerk scan them. The Sunoco employee had nearly finished when he yelled, “It’s the big one!” The winner didn’t believe him right away so she insisted on scratching it to see if it was true. As soon as she revealed the queen with $5,000 printed below it she knew she had won ten times that amount.

“I just fell to my knees,” she said, “I was so excited I decided to sleep on it.”

This isn’t the first time she’s won a prize on a Queen of Hearts ticket. She won $50 her very first time and has continued to play it since then due to the ticket’s design and the prizes still remaining which she saw on mdlottery.com.

With her prize money, the 49-year-old mother-of-two and grandmother-of-four plans to pay off her truck, buy a new car, and send her grandson to military school.

The winning ticket was purchased at Cherry Hill Sunoco located on 12040 Cherry Hill Rd
