Germantown Man Makes “Lucky” Scratch-Off Purchase
Wins Lucky 8’s first $80,000 Top-Prize

(Baltimore) – William Ketcham’s Lucky 8’s $80,000 top prize is just the latest in a streak of recent Lottery wins. The 47-year-old Germantown man won $1,000 only two weeks ago and has won $5,000 twice in the past.  “The next one I win is gonna’ be Mega Millions,” he said smiling broadly.

The father-of-two was enthusiastic about his love for Lottery games, particularly scratch-offs and Keno. “I play every day,” he said.

On Friday, William stopped at 7-11, where he bought four scratch-off tickets. He proceeded to scratch them right there in the store as is his regular practice. Calmly retelling his story, he said that he realized that he’d won, but checked the ticket a second time to make sure.  “I felt good,” he said. “Everybody felt good.”

William who is a manager at Ruppert Nurseries, Inc., plans to share the winnings with his wife and pay off his credit cards. He also intends to take the guys at work to dinner. “They work really hard for me all year, I’m glad to do it,” he said. “I’m happy as heck. Mark my words, I’m going to win another one.”

The winning ticket was purchased at 7-11 #28864 located at 13001 Wisteria Dr. in Germantown.
