Pirate’s Gold is Treasure Trove for Port Deposit Woman
Wins
$50,000 Top-Prize on Scratch-off Ticket

(Baltimore)- A Port Deposit woman won $50,000 on the Pirate’s Gold scratch-off ticket that she bought on Sunday, when she stopped at the Royal Farms to cash a winning ticket from earlier in the week.  She decided to reinvest some of the money she had won and proceeded to buy three more scratch-off tickets.  All three were winners.  But the $5 Pirate’s Gold ticket made her dreams come true when the second pirate symbol revealed a $50,000 cash prize. “My prayers have been answered,” said the happy winner.

The overjoyed wife and mother-of-three, who also has a grandchild on the way, prayed continuously for a way to catch up on the unpaid bills that have been haunting her family for weeks.  Her husband, a long distance truck driver, was thrilled when his wife came home to announce she’d just won $50,000.

With her winnings, the 48-year-old intends to pay bills, keep up with the cost of living and look for a larger home to accommodate her big, close knit family. “I just can’t believe it,” she said happily. “It will be great to have more room to spread out.”

The winning ticket was sold at Royal Farms located at 5415 Pulaski Hwy. in  Perryville.
