Baltimore Man Strikes it Rich
with New CASHBLAST Scratch-off
Wins $50,000 Top-Prize
(Baltimore)- A Baltimore City man was handed a very lucky ticket this morning when he asked the cashier at his neighborhood Lottery retailer for the newest scratch-offs. That request resulted in the purchase of the Lottery’s new $5 CASHBLAST ticket with a top-prize of $50,000.
The Army veteran told Lottery officials that he scratched his CASHBLAST ticket later when he returned home. His reaction to the big win was relatively calm. “I’ve been through a lot in my 71 years. This is very nice but it doesn’t get me too worked up.”
The retired career soldier plans to put his winnings in the bank and see what tomorrow brings. “I’ve been lucky for a long time,” he said. “Just being here after Vietnam and everything else, and everywhere else, my life has taken me proves that.”
The winning ticket was purchased from Sam’s Lobby Shop at 10 North Calvert Street in Baltimore.
