Lucky Gaithersburg Man Hits the Big One
Wins $1.3 Million Multi-Match Top-Tier Prize

(Baltimore) – Last Wednesday, a lucky Gaithersburg resident won $1.3 million playing his favorite Lottery game -- Multi-Match. The frequent player made his usual stop at the local 7-11 the night before the drawing. While there, he decided to buy 20 Multi-Match tickets. He doesn’t believe in lucky numbers, so as always, he chose the Quick Pick option. The next morning he returned to 7-11 to get his morning coffee and to check the winning numbers. He was shocked to learn that he’d won the $1.3 million top-tier prize on one ticket, plus a total of $300 on his remaining tickets.

“I could not believe it,” said the 52-year-old. “My hands wouldn’t stop shaking I was so excited!”  The win came at a great time for this recently unemployed software engineer. “It’s great to win some money at a time like this,” he said.

With his winnings, he plans to pay off some bills and share with his wife and 29-year-old daughter. He also plans to continue playing his favorite game, and to start playing other games more frequently. “My new goal is to win Mega Millions!”

The winning tickets were purchased at the 7-11 at 19235 Watkins Mill Road in Gaithersburg.
