Racetrax Long-Shot is a Big Hit for Baltimore City Woman

(Baltimore) Rosa Lemon, an International Field Representative, travels quite a bit for her job. When she is home you will often find her at Maiden Choice Liquors, her favorite Lottery retailer, playing Racetrax. “There are three of us that get together at Maiden Choice Liquors and play Lottery games,” said Rosa. The 62-year-old plays Racetrax while she waits for the Midday Pick 3 numbers to be drawn.
 

Rosa’s affection for Racetrax has paid off more than once. She won $23,000 playing two years ago with the numbers 11, 12 and 1. She now plays the numbers 10, 11 and 12 everyday, because she likes to play the long shots. When Rosa saw her numbers come up she stood there in awe. “I just couldn’t believe it,” said the two-time Racetrax winner. “Why aren’t you hollering,” one of her Lottery partners asked? “Maybe I’m still in shock,” she replied.
 

Rosa said that she would always joke with the cashier telling him she was tired of him giving her losing tickets. Once she realized she won she assured him she would leave him alone now.
 

The mother-of-one will use her winnings to help pay for some already planned home improvements. “This will really ease the burden of paying for it,” said Rosa. The lucky winner also intends to pay off a couple of bills and put the rest in the bank.
 

The winning ticket was purchased at Maiden Choice Liquors at 1064 Maiden Choice Lane in Baltimore City.
