Double Congrats to Cockeysville Man
Recent College Grad Wins $20,000 playing KENO

(Baltimore) A Cockeysville man who visited his neighborhood deli for some coffee and a game or two of KENO this morning visited the Lottery’s Claim Center this afternoon to pick up a check for $20,000. The happy winner just moved home recently after graduating from Salisbury University last month.

The 22-year-old and his father were discussing plans for the summer when he realized that he recognized some of the numbers appearing on the KENO monitor. “Our attention focused completely on the screen as number after number matched my ticket,” he told officials. “When it was over we checked with the owner and only then realized what the ticket was worth.” As luck would have it, the winnings on the lucky KENO ticket were doubled thanks to a Lottery promotion that started earlier this month – KENO Sprinkler – which doubles or triples any prize won on random KENO tickets.

When asked how his big win would affect his future, the Baltimore County man told officials, “I hope to get into the television and movie production business, which means I’ll probably not have a steady paycheck for a while. This money will buy me a lot of time to get my foot in the door.”

The winning game of KENO was played at the Galleria Deli, 1419 York Road in Lutherville.
