Mega Millions Gets on a Roll
in Maryland this Week
Produces Three $250,000 Second-Tier
Winners
(Baltimore) - Maryland Lottery players have won big playing Mega
Millions this week. Since last Friday, three players have won
the second-tier prize of $250,000 and seven lucky winners have
received the $10,000 third-tier prize. There was no jackpot winner
last night, making Friday’s drawing worth $45 million.
The $250,000 winning tickets from last night’s drawing were sold at
Ocean Market, located at 14107 Coastal Highway in Ocean City, and
Walther Liquors, located at 8625 Walther Blvd. in Nottingham. Last
Friday’s $250,000 winning ticket was purchased at Roland Park
Station, located at 5425 Falls Road in Baltimore. All three tickets
remain unclaimed. Winners have 182 days to claim their prizes.
Since the beginning of 2008, the Maryland Lottery has produced 20
second-tier $250,000 winners and 125 third-tier $10,000 winners. The
multi-state Mega Millions game is played in 12 states,
including Maryland, Georgia, Illinois, Massachusetts, Michigan, New
Jersey, New York, Ohio, Virginia, Washington, Texas and California.
Mega Millions drawings can be seen on Tuesday and Friday evenings at
11:22 p.m. on WBAL-TV, Channel 11, and at 11:30 p.m. on Maryland
Public Television.
