Baltimore Woman Wins $50,000 Big
Money Bingo Top Prize
(Baltimore) – Jacqueline Carter, a Union Memorial
Hospital employee, won big playing Big Money Bingo. On
Monday, Jacqueline decided to take a trip to Harry’s Liquors to play
her usual Pick 3 and Pick 4 evening numbers. While she
was there, Jacqueline was feeling a little lucky and decided to
purchase $20 worth of scratch-offs. She went home to scratch her
tickets and immediately won $80. Jacqueline continued scratching,
even after she received a phone call from her brother.
The lucky winner stopped paying attention to the conversation and
told her brother she would call him back because she may have won
$500. Right away, Jacqueline called her friend to come and take a
look at the ticket. The winner was shocked when her friend told her
the $500 was really $50,000. “This can’t be happening to me,”
Jacqueline screamed. “It must be a trick.” Afraid to let the ticket
out of her sight, Jacqueline placed the ticket under her pillow
while asleep.
The next day she went back to the store where the winning ticket was
purchased to confirm her winnings. Jacqueline took the ticket to
work and shared the news with her sister-in-law. They both screamed
and jumped up and down. The lucky grandmother-of-five will use the
money to fix up her home, buy things for her family and take her
friends out to dinner. The winning ticket was purchased at Harry’s
Liquors, located on Greenmount Ave. in Baltimore.
