Double Dubble Bubble Doubler
Win
Federalsburg Woman wins $10,000 top prize
(Baltimore) – Yesterday a Federalsburg resident was lucky enough to
win not once, but twice on two Dubble Bubble Doubler
scratch-off tickets. She was out with her granddaughter, and when
they stopped to get gas she decided to purchase a Dubble Bubble
Doubler scratch-off game. She immediately scratched the ticket
to reveal that she had won three dollars. However, she had a gut
feeling to keep playing, so she used the money to purchase two more
tickets. This time she received the ultimate surprise when she
revealed she had won the ticket’s top prize of $10,000.
“At my age, I didn’t think I was reading the ticket right, so I had
to have my granddaughter check it. Neither of us could believe I
actually won,” exclaimed the winner. “We had to sit and look at the
ticket for fifteen minutes!” Once her winning ticket was verified,
she wanted to call her sons to share the good news. Unfortunately,
she had used up all her luck for the day, and her granddaughter’s
cell phone was dead. She could not wait another minute to tell them,
so she hurried home and called everyone from there. That night, she
had her close friends and family over to celebrate. “I think my son
was more excited than I was,” laughed the winner.
The retired secretary has been playing
the Maryland Lottery for many years now and vows to continue playing
in the future. With her winnings, she plans to pay off some bills
and put the rest into savings.
The winning ticket was purchased at the
Bloomingdale Quick Mart at 307 Blooming Dale Avenue in Federalsburg.
