Happy Belated Birthday for Baltimore woman
 

(Baltimore) –  Just a few days after her 21st birthday, a Baltimore woman received a $250,000 gift from the Maryland Lottery when she won the Mega Millions second-tier prize.  “We are so excited, my fiancé almost fell out of the chair” said the young winner.  Her birthday was Monday, July 28th  and she played Mega Millions on Friday, August 1st  It wasn’t until a week later, on Friday, August 8th at 3 am in the morning, that she and her fiancé checked their ticket on mdlottery.com.  Both of them stared at the computer for three hours in disbelief when they discovered they were $250,000 richer. 

An avid player of Mega Millions and scratch-off tickets, the woman said her patience paid off with this being the largest sum she has ever won. Her fiancé said that they have been engaged to be married for two years now and plan to have a nice wedding.  “In addition, I’m going to buy a house, a car and pay off some debt.  I also want to spend some on our 2-year-old son,” said her fiancé.

The winner works as an assistant manager at Blockbuster and her fiancé has two jobs working as a bartender and a landscaper. The winning ticket was purchased at Roland Park Station Exxon at 5425 Falls Road in Baltimore.
