Easton Woman Wins Boatload of Money with Riverboat Riches
$50,000 Top-Prize Scratch-Off Winner

(Baltimore) – An Easton woman’s boredom proved very profitable on Saturday afternoon. To add a little excitement to her day, the 42-year-old decided to stop by her favorite Lottery retailer and buy some scratch-off tickets. She purchased all the Riverboat Riches tickets that the retailer had left…seven in all.

The avid scratch-off fan ordinarily takes her tickets home to scratch them, but with nothing else to do, she decided to scratch them right then and there. To her surprise and delight, one of her tickets revealed that she was the $50,000 top-prize winner. “I checked that ticket four times,” she said. “I was like, I know it isn’t, it can’t be.”

The mother-of-three then showed her ticket to the cashier, who in turn called the store’s owner. After checking the ticket, both confirmed that she was the big winner. Wanting to share her good news, the woman then headed to her sister’s to tell her of her win. “My sister is also a big fan of scratch-offs,” said the Talbot County resident. “She looked at my ticket and said to me, yes you did…you got it.”

The winner intends to use her prize money to help buy a home. The winning ticket was purchased at Easton Super Soda in Easton.
