Deal or No Deal Pays Off for Towson Man
$30,000 Scratch-off Win for College Student

(Baltimore) – A Baltimore County fan of the popular TV show Deal or No Deal decided to pick-up a Maryland Lottery scratch-off of the same name last night while stopping to get gas.  It turned out to be one of the rare occasions in recent memory that someone left a gas station with more money than they had upon arriving.

The 23-year-old Towson University student brought the tickets home to scratch with his girlfriend who knew immediately that they’d won.  “I was skeptical,” the winner told officials, “I just couldn’t believe it.”  The couple hid the ticket in a safe spot over night and arrived at Lottery headquarters this morning to claim their prize.  “Even now, with the paperwork done and everything official, I’m not quite sure I believe it,” the young winner repeated.

The lucky player intends to use some of his prize money to take a vacation, but the exact destination has yet to be determined.

The winning ticket was purchased from Four County Exxon, 4400 Mill Bottom Road in Mount Airy.
