Annapolis Couple Wins $50,000 Taxes-Paid Prize
On Extreme Green Scratch-off

(Baltimore) –  “I don’t believe it. We didn’t win anything,” said the woman who arrived at Lottery Headquarters with her husband and three children. Despite her protests, her husband insisted that they had won the Extreme Green Taxes Paid Top Prize. Even in the waiting room, the winner was still doubtful.

“Now, I can say we did,” said her husband when they were handed the paperwork confirming that they were $50,000 richer.

The couple, who originally hail from El Salvador, met here in the United States and have been together over 14 years. Occasional Lottery players, they bought just one Extreme Green ticket on Saturday afternoon. “We just had a few extra dollars and we decided to buy the ticket,” said the husband, a company supervisor.

The stay-at-home-mom,  who is expecting the couple’s fourth child in February, was finally convinced and extremely happy. “We’re going to pay off our credit cards,” she said with a huge smile. “I want to go to Toys ‘R Us,” interjected her 13-year-old-son.

In addition to paying bills, the couple intends to take a trip to their homeland of El Salvador and help out family members.

The ticket was purchased at Pantry 1 Food Mart located at 1090 Spa Rd. in Annapolis.
