Special Dates Yield $100,000 Keno Win for Lusby Man

BALTIMORE, MD – Many people have significant numbers they play every time they purchase a Lottery ticket. This was the case for James Crews. The Calvert County resident played his birthday and the birthdays of family members and won $100,006 playing a Keno 10-spot game.

James has only been playing Keno on a regular basis for four months and each time he plays the same numbers. “I have 17-year-old twins and I always play their birthdays in addition to mine,” he said. “This time they brought me luck.”

James said he normally buys his tickets then goes home to check them on the computer. But this time he was visiting family in
Frederick and forgot all about his Keno tickets. “When I finally checked the numbers and told everyone, not one person believed me,” said the lucky player. This is not the first time James has won. One year ago he won $5,000 playing Pick 4.

The 47-year-old plumber said he is going to make home improvements with his prize money. He also said he will continue to play the same 10-spot game using the same numbers.

The winning ticket was purchased at Golden Mile Liquors located at 50 McCain Drive in Frederick.
