VIP Club Email Leads to $250,000 Win
Baltimore County
Man Wins Second-Tier Prize Playing Mega Millions

(Baltimore) – A salesman for a Baltimore County credit card processing company has got the card that pays him back, a Maryland Lottery VIP Club Card. The 36-year-old Harford County resident got his inspiration to purchase a Mega Millions ticket when he received a jackpot alert email through his membership with the Lottery’s VIP Club.

After visiting the bank last week he stopped into a store for a Mega Millions ticket.  Although he missed the drawing, he learned he was a winner when he scanned his ticket at a retailer when he stopped for lunch.

“I feel like you have to have a Zen-like mindset. When you’re not expecting to win, it just might happen,” he said. The lucky winner said he would use the winnings to pay off debt and possibly purchase a new car. The winning ticket was purchased at the 7-11 convenience store located at Churchville Road in Bel Air.

The Maryland Lottery VIP Club is free to join and offers members jackpot updates, a newsletter and contests. Memberships can be obtained by clicking on the VIP tab at mdlottery.com and following the registration instructions.
