Win $100,000 Top Prize on Big Money Doubler Scratch-off

 
(Baltimore) – It could be called an early anniversary gift for Michael and Mildred Weese from the Hamilton area of Baltimore City and a birthday gift for Michael. They won $100,000 playing the Big Money Doubler scratch-off ticket just six days prior to their 34^th wedding anniversary and a month after Michael’s birthday.

Michael was out on disability for knee surgery when his July 3^rd birthday passed. When he returned to work a month later on August 4^th, one of his co-workers had a birthday card waiting for him. And, inside that card was a Big Money Doubler scratch-off ticket. He scratched the ticket when he came home and revealed the big $100,000 win. “It didn’t hit me right away,” said the Verizon employee. “It felt like a dream.”

Michael told his wife Mildred immediately. “He said, ‘I have a major winning ticket here’,” she smiled. “I just could not believe it and just days from our anniversary on August 10^th.” They waited until now to cash the ticket because of work.

The couple has two daughters and one son. They said they are going to use the winnings towards bills and their family. “And, of course I’ll have something for my co-worker, who gave me the lucky ticket,” said Michael. The ticket was purchased at Newsmart located at 100 S. Charles Street in Baltimore.
