Patterson Park Man Wins $50,000 Bonus Match 5 Top-Prize

(Baltimore) – A 51-year-old Lottery player can thank a relative for his recent $50,000 win. He used his sister’s different addresses to play Bonus Match 5 and won the top prize. “She moves around a lot,” he said.

The lucky winner’s routine is simple. On most days, he stops at his favorite retailer and purchases his Lottery tickets using the same numbers each time. He then goes home to watch the drawing. Yesterday was no different, except after purchasing his tickets, he went home and fell asleep. “I was really tired and I missed the drawing,” he said. “I didn’t find out I won until this morning.”

The Baltimore City employee saw the winning numbers while watching the news. “I saw the numbers and thought they looked familiar,” he grinned. He then pulled his ticket from his wallet and double checked the numbers. It was a match. Keeping the win a secret, the player put the ticket back in his wallet and proceeded with his day. He said today is his wife’s birthday and he will surprise her this evening by telling her about his good fortune.

The winner said he is going to use the prize money to pay some bills and will save the rest.  The winning ticket was purchased at Gold’s located at
3320 Sinclair Lane in Baltimore.
