Calvert County Man Wins $50,000 Bonus Match 5 Prize

 

(Baltimore) – Paul Mast has been playing the same Bonus Match 5 numbers for years but, out of the blue, he decided to add a few Quick Pick numbers.  One of those spur-of-the-moment tickets made Paul $50,000 richer.  His random numbers matched those drawn during Tuesday night’s Bonus Match 5 drawing.

The 66-year-old was out to dinner when he decided to stop and purchase his Lottery tickets at a liquor store in the shopping center.  On Wednesday, Paul checked his ticket on the Lottery’s website and had to look at his ticket a few times before believing his eyes, he’d matched all five numbers. 

The Bonus Match 5 win came at a good time for Paul who retired recently from Quest Diagnostics.  He told Lottery officials that his winnings will take him “completely out of debt” and will leave him plenty left over.  Before leaving Lottery Headquarters the elated winner warned officials, “I’ll see you next week when I win the Mega Millions jackpot!”

The winning ticket was purchased at Country Plaza Liquors, located at 10120 Southern Maryland Blvd. in Dunkirk.
