Man Claims $250,000 Mega Millions Prize
(Baltimore) – Marc Sargent usually buys
his Mega Millions tickets on Friday. But this week, he
bought his ticket on Thursday. And this week, he won $250,000.
The 56-year-old stopped at a gas station on his way home from work,
using Quick Pick to randomly select his numbers. “This
couldn’t have come at a better time,” Marc told Lottery Officials.
Marc, a commercial tire salesman, said his business has been hurting
since industry sales have been down.
The father of two, Marc said he will use his winnings to help out
his daughters. He plans to buy a car for his 17-year-old and save
the rest for their college funds. He also plans to keep playing
Mega Millions. “My dad told me that I need to keep playing
since luck comes in streaks,” Marc said. “And I hope he’s right.”
The winning ticket was purchased at the Liberty station located at
13411 Kingsview Village Ave. in Germantown.
