Fort Washington Student Prepares for Success with $100,000 Keno Win

(Baltimore) – Rosella Cabansag did not expect a stop for gas on Friday would pay for her college tuition.  But her need for fuel, fueled a $100,000 Keno win for the 19-year-old from Fort Washington.

Rosella’s father is an avid Keno player, and Rosella started playing herself last year when she turned 18.  She plays ten numbers, a combination of the birthdays of her friends and family.

The university-bound winner said the money could not have come at a better time.  Rosella, who completed two years at community college, will use her winnings toward tuition.  She plans to transfer to Virginia Commonwealth University in the fall, where she will major in graphic design.  “I loved community college, but I can’t wait to experience university life, especially dorm living,” Rosella said.

The winning ticket was purchased at Jo Jo Food Market, located at 3311 Brinkley Road in Temple Hills.
