Mistake Proves Profitable for Northwest Baltimore Man
Wins $50,000 Top Prize on Deal or No Deal Scratch-off

(Baltimore, MD) – When he was handed the wrong scratch-off, the Northwest Baltimore man made the right decision -- he decided to keep it. The retired steelworker originally intended to purchase a Nutcracker Cash scratch-off, but instead the clerk gave him a Deal or No Deal ticket. Choosing to keep it, the man scratched it right there in the store and revealed his $50,000 windfall.

The 73-year-old, who was accompanied to Lottery Headquarters by his son, was not totally sure exactly how much richer he was until he arrived to claim his win.  Typically a fan of the Pick 3 & Pick 4 games, the Deal or No Deal winner also occasionally plays Mega Millions when the jackpot is big.

The married-father-of- three intends to share his winnings with his family and next year, take his wife on a trip. The ticket was purchased at the Patapsco BP gas station, located at 101 W. Patapsco Avenue in Baltimore.
