“Giant” Win at Work for Pennsylvania Woman
 

(Baltimore, MD) – – A cashier at the Giant grocery store in Hunt Valley visited the Lottery’s claim center today with a very short shopping list.  She planned to pick up one item only – a check for $10,000.

The lucky winner, who lives in Pennsylvania, is a big Maryland Lottery scratch-off fan, playing just about every day on her break.  On Saturday she chose the popular One-Eyed Jack game from the instant ticket vending machine in the store and started scratching.  She looked closely at the results and then looked again…and again.  Not believing her eyes, she asked several of her co-workers to take a look.  It wasn’t long before a crowd had gathered around her to first help confirm the win and then to help celebrate.  

“We have some projects underway at home that some of this will go toward,” she told Lottery officials when asked about what she planned to do with her winnings.  “First, though, I’ll be spending some time at the beach next week.”  The winning ticket was purchased from the Giant at 11399 York Road in Hunt Valley.
