Pocomoke City Man Wins Big for Second Time
Wins $50,000 Top Prize Playing Queen of Hearts
Scratch-Off
(Baltimore) – A very lucky Pocomoke City man just left Lottery
headquarters for the second time in less than six months. The
winner claimed a $50,000 Queen of Hearts top prize today,
topping his $30,000 American Classics win from April 1st.
The 57-year-old
winner scratched his latest winning ticket in his truck, outside of
the store where it was purchased. He called his wife as soon as he
won. “I was in the grocery store when he called and I could hardly
hear him,” his wife said. “All I heard was $5,000 and I said okay
and hung up the phone.” It wasn’t until she got home that she found
out it was actually 10 times $5,000.
“We didn’t
mention it the last time we were here, but it must be our lucky
Yorkshire terrier name Keno that has brought us all this Lottery
luck,” they both agreed. The win came just in time for their 30th
wedding anniversary on September 30th.
The lucky winner
wanted to get a new heating system last time he won. He didn’t get
it back then, but plans on using some of his new prize money to
purchase it and to pay off his car. The winning ticket was purchased
at the Cheers/Duck In on
Lynn Haven Drive
in Pocomoke City.
