$50,000 5 Times the Money Win for New Jersey Man
A Visit to His Cousin’s House Pays Off

(Baltimore) – A New Jersey man, in town visiting his cousin for the weekend, is going home $50,000 richer after playing the 5 Times the Money scratch-off.  He enjoys playing scratch-offs and other Lottery games at home, so it was no different when he came to Maryland. He had to stay an extra day to claim the winnings.

The lucky winner purchased six tickets on Saturday and the last one was the $50,000 winner. “I could not believe my eyes, when I saw that all the numbers matched,” he said. The 48-year-old truck driver called his wife to tell her what happened but she was doubtful until he told her he had to stay an extra day. “I was supposed to leave yesterday, but that all changed after I won,” said the player laughing.

The father-of-four said he will use the winnings towards bills and college tuition for one of his kids. The winning ticket was purchased at Shell Food Mart, located at 7430 Riggs Rd. in Adelphi.
