Prince George’s Community College Student Learns Mega Millions
Makes the Grade
Wins
$250,000 Second-tier Prize
(Baltimore) –
The 23-year-old native of Thailand says that luck struck him at
the perfect time. Now celebrating a $250,000 Mega Millions
win, he was struggling to afford tuition before his recent
windfall. The young man, who is studying for a career in
information technology, told Lottery Officials that he will enjoy
being carefree of stress during these tough economic times.
He was on his
way to take a jog and decided to stop at the Tiger Mart not
too far from his house. While at the station, he noticed that the
Mega Millions jackpot had grown to over $100 million. He
couldn’t turn down the chance at the huge jackpot and purchased five
Mega Millions tickets with random numbers that he picked off
the top of his head.
The next morning
he checked his tickets at home at mdlottery.com. As he saw
his numbers appear on the screen he realized that he was a winner
and began celebrating. He then called his parents to tell them the
great news.
The full-time
student resides in New Carrolton, MD where he lives with his two
older brothers. With his winnings he plans to pay his college
expenses and use the rest of his money for a Mercedes.
The winning ticket was purchased at the Riverdale Tiger Mart in
Prince George’s
County.
