The Bonus Match 5 game produced a single top-tier $50,000
winner in Wednesday night’s drawing. Joël Allen of Pasadena and her
sister arrived at Lottery headquarters on this sunny Monday morning
smiling from ear to ear.
Joël Allen, a certified cognitive trainer, has been playing Bonus
Match 5 for several weeks. Her dad, whom she calls “The Lottery
King” makes a weekly run to purchase Lottery games for the family.
The family typically purchases a variety of Lottery tickets and
distributes them randomly to family members. After picking up her
ticket from her dad, Joël settled in as usual to watch the evening
drawing. She watched her numbers come up one at a time. Although
the numbers were display as “big as day” on the television screen,
Joël still did not believe she’d won. The next day, she and her
sister headed to the store to get a printout. It finally sunk in;
she was a $50,000 winner.
Because
of Joël and her sister’s busy work schedule they decided to come in
as early as possible on a Monday. Joël stated, “I’ve always
dreamed of winning big.” This happy wife and mother says she will
fix up her home, do a little shopping and save. The winning ticket
