Baltimore Woman Turns Pick 3 Payout into 5 Times the Money Win

(Baltimore) – The 44-year-old Baltimore woman couldn’t contain her excitement as she related her story. Even before being escorted into the Winner’s Lounge at Lottery headquarters she enthusiastically recounted the moment when she realized she was $50,000 richer. “People thought I was having a seizure,” she said. “They said get that woman some water.”

The mother-of-three won $500 earlier in the week playing Pick 3 and decided to buy some scratch-offs with her windfall. “I bought $30 worth, three were 5 Times the Money,” she said.  She scratched them in the store while waiting in the bank line. After screaming and jumping with joy, she ran to the store’s bathroom to check her ticket.

Her son, who accompanied her to claim her win, was still in disbelief. “No way,” he said. “You did not win $50,000.”

The happy winner, who works for Baltimore City, said that with many bills to pay the win couldn’t have come at a better time.

The winning ticket was purchased at Santoni’s, located at 3800 E. Lombard St. in Baltimore.
