Charles County retailer sells seventh progressive jackpot winner
A big fish was caught in Southern Maryland on Tuesday, as a lucky player reeled in a $41,780 progressive jackpot prize on a FAST PLAY Gold Fish® ticket.
The seventh progressive jackpot-winning ticket in the game was sold Feb. 28 at Hardesty’s Drive-In Liquors located at 12190 Crain Highway in Newburg. The Charles County retailer receives a $417 bonus from the Lottery for selling the lucky ticket.
Lottery officials encourage the winner to sign the back of the ticket immediately and put it in a safe location. Winners have 182 days from the date of their win to claim their prize.
Instructions on claiming prizes in person or by mail are available HERE. Players must redeem prizes larger than $25,000 by mail or at Lottery headquarters in the Montgomery Park Business Center, 1800 Washington Blvd., Suite 330 in Baltimore. The Lottery’s Claims Center in Baltimore is open by appointment only (no walk-ins). Click HERE to schedule an appointment.
The $2 game went on sale on Sept. 5, 2022, and there are plenty of Gold Fish progressive jackpot prizes left in the sea. There are 13 progressive jackpot prizes remaining in this game along with prizes ranging from $2 to $1,000.
