Over 130 $50,000 top prizes remain
The fourth most popular scratch-off game on the Lottery’s Top 40 list is $50,000 Cash, which went on sale Dec. 29 with 160 top prizes of $50,000. Since Feb. 13, 10 winners have arrived at Lottery headquarters to claim top prizes in the $20 game.
In the last week alone, four players claimed winning $50,000 Cash scratch-offs sold by:
- Harford County’s 7-Eleven #29978 at 1020 Gateway Road in Edgewood. The winner was 33-year-old Edgewood resident.
- Howard County’s Normandy Wine & Spirits at 8492 Baltimore National Pike in Ellicott City. The 32-year-old winner is from Ellicott City.
- Anne Arundel County’s 7-Eleven #17214 at 730 East College Parkway in Annapolis. The winner was a 44-year-old Glen Burnie man.
- Montgomery County’s 7-Eleven #23666 at 9254 New Hampshire Avenue in Silver Spring. The winner, a 29-year-old construction worker from Silver Spring, plans to use his prize to help buy a home for his family.
The six other players who claimed their top prizes in the $50,000 Cash game reside in Reisterstown, Glen Burnie, Middletown, Taneytown, Salisbury and Temperanceville, Va.
As of Friday, March 3, there are still 134 unclaimed $50,000 prizes and 144 $5,000 prizes available along with smaller prizes ranging from $20 to $500. All retailers that sold a $50,000 top-prize winning scratch-off will receive a $500 bonus from the Lottery.
