Player found lucky ticket in April 10 drawing
Happy days are here for a Powerball player who looked for Lottery luck in Baltimore County. One person who bought a ticket in the April 10 drawing wound up a $50,000 Powerball winner!
The player found the winning ticket at A Plus #40061 located at 11416 York Road in Hunt Valley. While no one hit the jackpot, there were 13,382 winning tickets sold in Maryland for the April 10 drawing with prizes ranging from $4 to $50,000. The winning numbers were 14, 16, 23, 50, and 53; the Powerball was 3 and the Power Play multiplier was 3.
Maryland has now had 19 third-tier $50,000 winners in Powerball during 2021. The last Powerball jackpot win was for $235.4 million in the March 27 drawing, with the winning ticket sold in Florida.
The Powerball jackpot rolls to $67 million for the Wednesday, April 14 drawing with a cash option of $46 million.
Lottery officials encourage all winners to sign the back of their tickets immediately and put them in a safe location. Winners typically get 182 days from the date of the drawing to claim prizes. However, the Lottery has temporarily extended claiming deadlines due to Maryland’s COVID-19 state of emergency.
The $50,000 winner can claim the prize by mail, in person by appointment or by dropping off the claim form and winning ticket at Maryland Lottery headquarters, 1800 Washington Blvd., Baltimore. Winners of smaller prizes can claim them by mail, at Lottery retailers, at casinos, by appointment at Lottery headquarters or by dropping off a completed claims form and the winning ticket in the dropbox at Lottery headquarters.
