Lottery enthusiast picked up $2 Gold Fish® ticket, wins instantly
A Maryland Lottery enthusiast from Parkville picked up a $28,449 win on the FAST PLAY progressive jackpot game Gold Fish® when she bought a $2 ticket on Nov. 18. She plans to keep on playing because she keeps on winning.
The 62-year-old daily player says she has won $1,200 playing Multi-Match and $500 five or six times on scratch-offs, as well as single- and double-digit prizes, which she called “play money.”
With this $28,449 FAST PLAY prize, she plans to pay some medical bills and “spend a little on my teeth.” In addition, a celebration party is in the works because “everyone at home found out!”
Also having reason to celebrate is J Convenience, where our winner purchased the hot FAST PLAY ticket. The store, at 8765 Satyr Hill Road in Parkville, picks up a bonus of $284.49, equal to 1% of the prize.
The Gold Fish game went on sale Sept. 5 and this prize is the second of 20 progressive jackpots won to date. In this game, the progressive jackpot begins at $2,500 and increases with the sale of each ticket until a progressive jackpot-winning ticket is sold. In addition to the progressive jackpot, all five of the game’s second-tier $1,000 prizes are available.
