Finds second-tier prize playing Winfall Doubler game
Even before Lottery luck delivered her $50,000 FAST PLAY prize, a Glen Burnie woman was a super fan of the game that plays like a scratch-off without the scratching.
“I love FAST PLAY,” said the mother and grandmother. “I always play the ones with the largest second-tier prizes.”
The Anne Arundel County resident also won a $50,000 FAST PLAY prize in February 2022 and a $10,000 FAST PLAY prize several years ago. She bought her latest winning ticket on Friday at a Lottery retailer located at the Maryland Department of Transportation Motor Vehicle Administration in Glen Burnie. The Maryland Business Enterprise for the Blind retailer, MDBEP #018 Traffic Light, operates at 6601 Ritchie Highway and sells games through a Lottery vending machine.
The winner stopped by the machine while at the MVA, selected a $10 Winfall Doubler ticket and then headed to work. She didn’t check it for a win until later in the day.
“I said, ‘Uh oh, this cannot be real,’” she recalled. “I looked again and I saw the money bag symbol.” She had indeed won one of the game’s second-tier prizes. The 55-year-old, who has only shared her great news with a friend, plans to put her prize into her retirement fund.
Her lucky Winfall Doubler game is still packed with prizes, including 20 unclaimed $100,000 top prizes, 16 $50,000 prizes, 24 $20,000 prizes and 26 $10,000 prizes. It is one of 20 FAST PLAY games currently available.
