Two finalist spots remain for 50th Anniversary Cash Bash event

The Maryland Lottery’s 50th anniversary celebration has featured special products, promotions and big prizes all year long, and there’s still one more opportunity to be part of a special anniversary event in September.

The 50th Anniversary Cash Bash second-chance promotion offers players the chance to win up to $5 million. Ten lucky Lottery players will participate in the Cash Bash event at the Maryland State Fair on Sept. 8. Eight of those finalists have already been selected, and the final two spots will be awarded in a drawing that will take place on Aug. 2. The deadline to enter is 11:59 p.m. on Aug. 1.

All 10 of the finalists will come away with prizes at the Cash Bash event on Sept. 8. Five of them will each win $10,000, four others will each win $25,000, and one will win a prize ranging from $100,000 to $5 million.

The eight finalists already selected are (in alphabetical order):

  • Belinda Parsons from Salisbury (Wicomico County)
  • Connie Plater from Oxon Hill (Prince George’s County)
  • Harry Sheldon from Easton (Talbot County)

 

The 50th Anniversary Cash Bash Promotion launched in February, and in addition to the 10 finalists, the promotion is awarding 100 cash prizes of either $2,500 or $1,000 in monthly drawings. More than three million entries have been submitted since the beginning of the promotion.

From Feb. 20 through Aug. 1, Lottery players automatically receive an entry in the promotion for each $50 worth of eligible tickets they enter into their My Lottery Rewards account. Eligible tickets include non-winning scratch-offs and either winning or non-winning Pick 3, Pick 4, Pick 5, Bonus Match 5, Multi-Match, Mega Millions, Powerball, Cash4Life, FAST PLAY, Keno and Racetrax tickets purchased during the promotion period.
