A vacation for two is in the works for Jacqueline Goodall and her husband after her $50,000 scratch-off win.
Prince George’s County woman claims second-tier prize
Several days ago, completely out of the blue, Jacqueline Goodall’s husband asked her how she felt about taking a trip. The next day, with the previous conversation completely forgotten, Mrs. Goodall purchased a 50X The Cash scratch-off. The Forest Heights pair can now begin planning their vacation after making a trip to Lottery headquarters to claim the biggest prize this longtime player ever won.
What caused the Prince George’s County resident to visit Brentwood Liberty gas station at 3730 Rhode Island Avenue, where she found her $50,000 winning scratch-off? A Lottery errand was the reason. “I had a winning Keno ticket I wanted to cash. While I was there, I played my daily numbers and had enough left over for a couple of scratch-offs.”
Jacqueline picked out 50X The Cash, a $10 game that debuted in late January, because she’d had some luck with it recently.
Finding no luck, however, with her first instant ticket, she began scratching the second one but halted almost immediately. “I stopped when I saw the matching number and the $50,000 underneath,” she said. “Everything stopped, really. I stood there staring at it. I just knew it couldn’t be right.”
Confirming the big win with the help of the store’s cashier, Jacqueline called her sister to try to make sense of what had just happened. “I told her that I was sure I was dreaming.”
The 50X The Cash game went on sale in January and still has six $100,000 top prizes available as well as five more $50,000 second-tier prizes and 16 $10,000 prizes. This game is a member of an X The Cash family of games, too. Players can enter non-winning X The Cash instant tickets into a second-chance promotion to try to win prizes ranging from $50,000 to $75,000. Four drawings remain, with the next entry deadline being April 1.
