No one hits jackpot; lucky tickets sold in Ellicott City, Gaithersburg
Although no one hit the Powerball jackpot in the Wednesday night drawing, Marylanders scored 26,456 prizes ranging from $4 to $100,000!
The Maryland Lottery is looking for the two lucky players who bought third-tier winning tickets worth $50,000 and $100,000 (with Power Play). The $100,000-winning ticket was sold by 7-Eleven #28813 located at 19235 Watkins Mill Road in Gaithersburg (Montgomery County). A $50,000-winning ticket was purchased at 40 West BP located at 8720 Baltimore National Pike in Ellicott City (Howard County).
The winning numbers to match in the drawing were 13, 22, 27, 54 and 66; the Powerball was 9 and the Power Play multiplier was x2.
Lottery officials encourage all winners to sign the back of their tickets immediately and put them in a safe location. They get 182 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prizes.

The Powerball jackpot rolled to an estimated annuity of $750 million for the Saturday, March 23 drawing, making it the ninth largest in Powerball jackpot history. The estimated cash option is $357.3 million. There were $1.2 million winners nationwide in the March 20 drawing, with 33 winning third-tier prizes.
Maryland is home to three Powerball jackpot wins: $731.1 million in January 2021 (Lonaconing, Allegany County); $128.8 million in December 2011 (Elkton, Cecil County) and $108.8 million in September 2011 (Abingdon, Harford County). In 2024, Maryland has now sold three $1 million second-tier winning tickets, one $500,000 Double Play second-tier winning ticket, nine third-tier winning tickets worth $50,000 to $100,000 plus two $50,000 Double Play third-tier winning tickets.
