Harford County man claims last big prize on $5 instant ticket
The Bel Air man told Lottery officials that he buys a Maryland Lottery ticket every now and then. Depending on the day, he could be playing a draw game or a scratch-off. His recent decision to try his luck with a Winning 7 scratch-off left him feeling great and $57,777 richer.
The Harford County resident bought his $5 instant ticket at the Shell gas station in Bel Air. After scratching off the game, he revealed a “stack of coins” symbol with the game’s corresponding top prize. The happy player said his big win feels great and he plans to save the funds so that he can help his family members.
Managers of the Shell gas station are also likely feeling pretty good. They will collect a $577 bonus from the Lottery for selling a $57,777 top-prize winning scratch-off. The business is located at 1902 Emmorton Road.
