Ca$h Plu$ game finds its first big winner
“It was, hands down, my best day at work ever,” a Baltimore City resident told Lottery officials. An early morning stop for coffee on her way to her job became truly memorable when she added a Ca$h Plu$ scratch-off to her purchase.
Ca$h Plu$, a $5 game featuring prizes up to $50,000, took just over a month since its debut on retailer shelves to share its top prize with a Maryland player. This first big winner was waiting for the lucky lady at the Food Stop Mini Mart in Baltimore.
“I buy tickets three or four times a week, mostly scratch games,” the clothing store employee explained. She scratched her Ca$h Plu$ instant ticket in the parking lot before going into work. “I walked in the store with the biggest smile on my face. It lasted all day.”
The city resident plans to dedicate the bulk of her $50,000 prize to her savings. The owners of the lucky Mini Mart located at 2415 Frederick Avenue can also celebrate her win. They get to decide how to use a $500 Lottery bonus for selling the top-prize winning scratch-off.
There are still six unclaimed $50,000 top-prize winning instant tickets in circulation for those wanting to try their luck with Ca$h Plu$. Other winning scratch-offs in this game carry prizes ranging from $5 to $5,000.
