Frederick woman claims top prize in Sept. 23 drawing
A Western Maryland woman is next-level lucky because she doesn’t really play Lottery games but still wins. Her husband and parents are regular players and she gets in on the Lottery action through their generosity. Most recently, the Frederick woman’s mom gifted her a Bonus Match 5 ticket that won $50,000 in the Sept. 23 drawing.
Her mom bought the $6 ticket at Walmart in Frederick, located at 7400 Guilford Drive. The Frederick woman recalls saying to her mother, “I’m tired of working and I need you to get me my winning Lottery ticket!” Although it’s not enough for retirement, the $50,000 prize will give the Frederick County resident a nice windfall to use for her student loans.
Her mom picked the winning numbers using birthdates of her grandchildren. Thanks to this, the lucky winner can now free herself of college loan debt and possibly, in the future, go on her dream vacation to Paris.
Walmart also benefits from the winner’s Lottery luck. The store management can collect a $500 Lottery bonus for selling a top-prize winning Bonus Match 5 ticket. This is the 26th top-prize winning Bonus Match 5 ticket sold in 2024.
