$50,000-Winning Powerball Ticket Sold in Allegany County

Third-tier winning ticket purchased in town of Cresaptown

The chilly storm that brought snow overnight to the mountaintops of Western Maryland left a heart-warming surprise for the Powerball player who bought a winning $50,000 ticket in Allegany County for the Nov. 20 drawing.

The ticket was purchased at Lashbaugh’s Bar & Grill, located at 13144 Warrior Drive in Cresaptown, a small town outside of Cumberland.

The winning numbers for Wednesday night’s drawing were 16, 30, 60, 62 and 64; the Powerball was 25 and the Power Play multiplier was x3.

Since there was no jackpot winner last night, the Powerball jackpot will now bounce to an estimated annuity of $171 million for the Saturday, Nov. 23 drawing, with an estimated cash option of $78.7. million. Our Cresaptown player is Maryland’s 55th third-tier prize winner of 2024. The drawing also created 8,334 other winners of prizes ranging from $4 to $100.

Lottery officials encourage winners to sign the backs of their tickets immediately and put them in a safe location. They get 182 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prizes.

Instructions for claiming prizes are available on the How to Claim page of the Lottery website. Prizes of more than $25,000 must be claimed through Lottery headquarters, either in person or by mail. Lottery headquarters is in the Montgomery Park Business Center, 1800 Washington Blvd., Suite 330, in Baltimore. An appointment is required to claim in person (no walk-ins). The appointment scheduling page shows all available appointment times.
