Claim $50,000 top prize playing Bonus Match 5
An excited Perry Hall Couple, who enjoy playing Lottery games together, claimed a $50,000 Bonus Match 5 top-prize winning ticket today. The dynamic duo played special numbers and matched all five of them in the Nov. 21 drawing.
Each Friday, the Baltimore County couple play Lottery tickets for the upcoming week. Bonus Match 5 is always on their list to play, with numbers they choose on the first line. Friday, Nov. 15 was no different as they visited Honeygo Wine & Spirits in Perry Hall, purchased their games and went on about their day. As they normally do, they clipped the tickets on their refrigerator door and checked them a week later.
“My wife wasn’t feeling well and was in bed when I looked at the numbers on my phone,” said half of the winning team. “When I saw our numbers, I knew right away we won and I had to go wake her up.”
The happy couple then confirmed the win together.
“I initially thought something was wrong,” said the other half of the winning duo. “And, then it was right.”
The retired couple went on the Lottery’s website to see how to claim their $50,000 win and visited Lottery Headquarters on Nov. 25 to do just that. They shared with Lottery Officials that they plan to use the winnings for some home improvements and a vacation.
The Lottery retailer that sold the winning ticket is also celebrating. Honeygo Wine & Spirits at 5004 Honeygo Center Drive in Perry Hall will receive a $500 bonus from the Lottery.
