Mega Millions is back tonight with jackpot set at $740 million
If you purchased a Powerball ticket at a Nottingham-area BP station for last night’s drawing, check your tickets! A $50,000 third-tier winning ticket was sold in the Dec. 16 drawing at Perry Hall BP, which is located at 8809 Belair Road in Baltimore County.
The winning numbers for Monday night’s drawing were 9, 30, 33, 57 and 61; the Powerball was 17 and the Power Play multiplier was x2.
This ticket is Maryland’s 59th third-tier prize winner of 2024. There were also 7,152 other Maryland winners of prizes ranging from $4 to $100. Because no one hit the jackpot, the estimated annuity for the Wednesday, Dec. 18 Powerball drawing is $69 million with an estimated cash option of $32.2 million.
Mega Millions returns tonight with a jackpot at an estimated annuity of $740 million and an estimated cash option of $342.9 million.
Lottery officials encourage all of the Powerball winners to sign the backs of their tickets immediately and put them in a safe location. They get 182 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prizes.
Instructions for claiming prizes are available on the How to Claim page of the Lottery website. Prizes of more than $25,000 must be claimed through Lottery headquarters, either in person or by mail.
